Butcher's Medusa

This mural was commissioned by the City of Wagga Wagga as part of their "Lost Lanes" festival.

“My initial reaction is that I like the idea of painting something bold and surprising in this lost space; to give those who wander something to be discovered in these hidden places. The outer wall of the butcher’s shop is an interesting surface to explore and I think of the Medusa and the butcher in the role of Perseus in his work of cutting and cutting ... delicious and very varied meats.

Mythology, wall art and irony are the ingredients of "Butcher's Medusa" an image of strong impact for the Mural and the Lost Lanes Festival.”
